Ph.D. Applied Gerontology
I have devoted my 20+ year career to helping older adults, and their families get the support and long-term care services they need through public and private pay care programs and organizations. My formal education includes a Ph.D. in Applied Gerontology and a Master of Science in Delivery in Community-based Aging Services. I have deep knowledge of Gerontology and the long-term care support and services system across the continuum of care.
My professional experience includes Administrator roles for healthcare facilities and community-based programs and services. I teach “Leadership in Gerontology” and “Long-term Care Administration” courses at the University of La Verne.
I also work with other universities in Gerontology, Master of Social Work, and related programs internationally to train leaders in Gerontology and related social and healthcare services fields. My non-profit Quality of Life Group supports family caregivers and organizations through numerous initiatives and charitable programs such as caregiver support groups and case management programs. Recently, I started providing Long-Term Care planning and essential financial advice to older adults and their families through Quality of Life Group and New York Life Insurance Company.
